Auto Insurance

Auto insurance plans are designed to help cover potential car-related damages.

Your automobile insurance policy will protect you in the case of a car accident. With the right coverages, your policy will repair or replace your damaged vehicle and will also take care of the damages you caused to other people and their property in an accident. Additionally, auto insurance helps protect you in the event of a lawsuit associated with an incident involving your car.

State laws mandate how much liability insurance coverage you must have for your vehicle to be registered and legal to operate. The Georgia state minimum limit of liability is currently 25,000/50,000/25,000. Those numbers mean that if you have state minimum limits and have an accident, your policy will pay up to $25,000 in damages for bodily injury you caused in the accident per person with a limit of $50,000 for the total accident-related bodily injuries. The final $25,000 is for property damage you cause in an accident and that is the limit for those coverages. For example, if you had an accident and someone got hurt and you caused their 2015 Ford F150 to be totaled, your policy will pay up to $25,000 for their injuries and only up to $25,000 for their new pickup.   If you have shopped for vehicles lately, you know $25,000 will not go far! It is important to have enough coverage to protect yourself!
